Welcome to the Great Netball ShootoutHere you'll find everything you need to shoot for the topWhat's the Shootout all about?The Great Netball Shootout is an opportunity to test your netball shooting skills by pitching your aim, technique, and temperament against fellow netball lovers. You’ll have one exciting minute to demonstrate your shooting skills. You are then in the draw to compete for your chance to win a trip to Paris, Hong Kong, a trip on the Ghan through Central Australia or a weekly $85 travel voucher. When is it?The competition will run from 2nd October 2010 until the 29th of April 2011. Every entrant will receive a participation pack, and finalists will have their ultimate Shootout at the MCG in May 2011. How will the competition work?In the interests of fairness, 250 entrants will be selected at random and will be invited back in May 2011 for The Great Netball Shootout. This will be held at the MCG in front of family and friends, other competitors and members of the champion Diamonds and Vixens Netball teams. These competitors will then compete on skill for the following prizes: 1st prizeTrip for two to Paris flying Air Austral, two return tickets on the High Speed Train (TGV) to La Rochelle with an opportunity to visit Alstom’s flagship train manufacturing facility, and 5 nights accommodation (sponsored by Alstom). 2nd prizeTrip for two to Hong Kong (flying economy), 5 nights accommodation, passes to tourist attractions (Disney World & Cable Car) and an opportunity to visit MTR’s Training Academy to drive a train on MTR's Hong Kong simulator (sponsored by Metro Trains Melbourne). 3rd prizeTrip for two (sleeper) on the Ghan (Adelaide to Darwin), 3 nights accommodation, and connecting economy flights (Melbourne/Adelaide & Darwin/ Melbourne) (sponsored by Skilled Group). Weekly prizeOne month free travel in Zones 1+2 applicable to patrons 16 years and under. (sponsored by Victorian Department of Transport)
