Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering includes electronic, computer systems, telecommunications, control and electrical power engineering.

Both field work and project management work are involved in order to deliver the construction or upgrade of electrical infrastructure equipment to deliver electrical power to run the trains on the rail system.

Electrical Engineers use equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, switches, cables and transmission lines for the distribution and control of power which ensure that power is sent to trains without posing danger to the commuter, the public, operators or maintainers.
